Hello!
I am a PhD candidate in Food and Resource Economics at the Faculty of Land and Food Systems, University of British Columbia (Vancouver, Canada).
I am an applied environmental economist doing research in biodiversity, conservation, agriculture, fisheries and trade. I am interested in policy to protect and conserve our environment and resources, for example in agriculture or trade, but also in the interaction of biodiversity and human activity: how we affect biodiversity, and how we are affected and dependent on it for economic production.
Before coming to Vancouver, I earned a BSc and MSc in Agricultural Sciences at ETH Zürich. Following my Master's, I completed one year pre-doc in the Agricultural Economics and Policy group at ETH. In between, I also worked in regulatory compliance at a cigar manufacturer.
